Learning To Serve The Least Of

I recently had a pastor contacted me, looking for advice about using technology to reach and serve International communities, but when I asked him what model his church uses to serve the local communities surrounding him, he had no answer to my question. This in term really puzzled me.
We often see a lot of churches striving to go International, but make no attempt to service the local communities surrounding them. The question we must always ask ourselves is; How is it can we as churches provide structure to an International community when our own communities never feel the impact of our existence? Radio, television, Internet and social media, grants us the greatest opportunity to reach a lot of people, but until we actually learn to be a great servant of a few, we will never fully understand the responsibility of serving a multitude of people. We have to take advantage of the opportunities in our own backyard, simply because the communities surrounding us is often our greatest training ground to learning how to become a great servant. Of course, reaching the world is appealing, but reaching our communities is a necessary reality we must quickly address.   Visit My Website Today
